Gujarat is easily accessible by sea, road, rail, and air.

By Sea:

Very few might think of approaching Gujarat from this route but if you do, you could take a boat and ride along the coast with many landing spots. In the south of Gujarat, you have Maroli and Magdalla with Hazira and Dahej as you travel upwards. Then you turn the bend of the Gulf of Cambay and you have Bhavnagar, Ghogha, Pipavav, and Jafarabad. By Air:

The largest airport in Gujarat is Ahmedabad with a maximum number of local and international flights to this city. Gujarat has about 17 airports with Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhuj, Bhavnagar and Junagadh and Jamnagar making up the other cities served by local airlines. You can fly into Gujarat from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar and Jaipur with the majority of direct daily connections to Ahmedabad from where it is an easy matter to get on to a Gujarat State Transport Corporation bus to any other city or village in Gujarat.

By Rail:

Gujarat has a well-connected rail network with Ahmedabad and Vadodara forming the main junctions with Surat next as the place to change trains. Anyway, Gujarat, even the most interior part of Saurashtra and Kutch is well connected to the rest of India through rail network and you find it easy to travel to destinations like Okha, Porbandar, Bhuj, and Rajkot from cities like Jammu Tawi, Gorakhpur, and Cochin. A maximum number of trains is between Mumbai and Ahmedabad due to high traffic on this line followed by the Delhi rail line. It would be wise to have reservations made in advance, especially if you are traveling into Gujarat from a distant destination like Puri or Kolkata.

By Road:

If you plan to travel by road, you can approach Gujarat from any direction by the road. Approach from the Northern side through Rajasthan and there is a network of highways that connect you to any part of Gujarat. It is the same when you approach Gujarat from Central India or from the South. Travel within Gujarat by road is a breeze since the Gujarat State Road Transport bus service is extensive and one of the best, taking you to remotest villages of the State of Mahatma Gandhi.

Once there you will fall in love with the land of extreme contrasts with the blistering deserts of Kutch in the North and cool dense forests of Dangs and Panchmahal in the South.
